JAKE RIBAUDO....pretty much a favorite person.

So this weekend, we (Ezra Link, Connor Kerr and Hadassah Mindorff) had the great pleasure to spend time with the one and only Jake. He's incredible.

We went to a line dancing party Sunday afternoon and when we all gave up learning one dance Jake stuck it out- keeping up with the music....and when it doubt Jake would use...the headbob. It was amazing.

Sunday evening while we were sitting in the living room "chillin like a villian" Jake (totally out of nowhere) says "Wouldn't it be cool if when you push a person's belly button stuff came out of their mouth." It was amazing. So funny.

Friday evening when playing "Sad solomn ocassion" Jake won every game-that kid knows how to make people laugh.

His smooth darth vadar moves while playing "Welcome to my party" was completely awesome. Not to mention he has a brother named Luke to top it off.

Jake had a hand signal to say hello. While doing his hand signal he tipped a filled coke cup everywhere. Quite amusing.

Jake knows how to hike. He comes prepared to catch his own meat, skin it and eat it. Even when just going into the back woods for an afternoon stroll "You can never be too prepared..."

Jake's dance moves (now don't get this confused with line dancing) Jake totally was into learning how to ballroom dance. His waltz is quite a site. No words can express the magnificance of his steps. We are pretty sure grace will come with time.

And the absolute highlight of our weekend with Jake. Saturday night we all sat around the fireplace, all young brothers and sisters in Christ sharing trials and experience. Sharing why each of us was baptized. It was amazing. It was really good to get to know Jake (so good in fact that Connor made up a song about it "It was really good to get to know Jake. it was really good to get to know Jake...")

Anyways-that brother of ours is a pretty cool guy. Go check out his xanga (fries and gravy) and so indeed you can "really get to know Jake...."

"...forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead."      Philippians 3:13

Hey everyone!

Today at meeting Bro. Jordan gave an amazing exhortation titled Forgetting those things which are behind us. It was amazing to see how Psalm 45 brought forth this thought! Psalm 45 is poem for the wedding of Solomon and his wife. BY looking at verses such as 1 Kings 3; 1 Kings 7:1 you can see that this specific woman, pharoah's daughter was very special. In deuteronomy it talks of how if marriage was to work in israel, the woman must remove the signs of her past way of life... In Psalm 45, verse 10 says to forget your own people also, and your father's house. Solomon was very impressed that his soon to be wife was willingly leaving egypt to now cleave to the king of Israel.  This psalm also speaks of her beauty and how the king will greatly desire it...

We hope that the king will desire our beauty as well when he comes :)

We should be as pharoah's daughter, leaving her egyptian ways behind, so that we may be ready for him...

THis Psalm also shows the story of christ and the bridegroom!

It just struck me that all these things came together and it was a great & much needed reminder!

Thanks very much to Jordan for his words!!

He closed with Hymn 287, which i thought was really beautiful & so i'll finish with the last verse of it!

"Saints, lift your heads, the day is near

When your Redeemer shall appear

To take the kingdom and the throne

And make his ransomed Bride his own."

Hope everyone's doing great! Just wanted to share those thoughts!

BY THE WAY- GUESS WHAT TODAY IS!!

EZRA'S BIRTHDAY!!! WOOOOOOT!!!!!! 4!

much love!
